Complaints Investigation for Mediators


"For five years I worked as a complaints investigator for the Ministry of Defence.  For mediators, I can be an independent third party for you to engage to investigate thoroughly and objectively any complaints made against you as part of your complaints process.  I’ve had formal complaints made against me as a family mediator and I appreciate how stressful and time-consuming responding to a complaint can be.  I produce an investigation report which, if your client refers their complaint to the FMSB, will be sent to the FMSB as evidence of your response to the complaint."   


Simon completed the ILM Professional Complaints Investigator training.  He investigates complaints made against mediators as an independent third party in accordance with the mediators' formal complaints procedures.  He is also a member of the Complaints Panel of the Family Mediation Standards Board for England and Wales. 


The thorough investigation of complaints made against mediators is a key aspect of maintaining mediators' professionalism and of ensuring consistent and accountable practice.
